Security workers at the Kursk nuclear power plant have been given a lesson on how to shoot by Russian Olympic trap shooting gold medallist Aleksei Alipov.

Alipov was invited to visit the plant by the Association of Trap Shooting of Kursk Region. At the plant's own shooting ground, he gave a master class for the servicemen guarding the Kursk plant, as well as employees of the plant's own security service.

Alipov won the gold medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004. During the games, he scored a perfect final round, with all 25 shots on target. He finished with an overall score of 149 out of 150. During the qualifying rounds, he equalled the Olympic record.

Speaking at the plant, he said, "Kursk NPP has an excellent sports complex and trains highly professional sportsmen, including Olympic champions. If you start developing Olympic trap shooting here, very soon your sportsmen will show very high achievements."
