Brazil's National Nuclear Energy Commission has signed a memorandum of understanding with Argentina's Invap setting out the "terms, conditions and premises that will guide negotiations on the execution" of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction agreement for the Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor.
 

Poland's National Atomic Energy Agency has issued a new operating licence for the MARIA nuclear research reactor, operation of which was suspended after its previous licence expired at the end of March.

Belgian engineering firm Tractebel announced it has signed a new mutual agreement with NRG-Pallas to extend their long-standing collaboration on the construction of the Pallas research reactor in Petten, the Netherlands.

The first stage of design work on a prototype molten salt reactor has been completed, Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom has said.

The Netherlands' outgoing Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Daniëlle Jansen has informed the House of Representatives that the project to construct the Pallas research reactor in Petten is ready to enter the next phase.
