Germany coordinates fusion R&D efforts
Germany's Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space has announced funding for three national fusion hubs that will consolidate research and development in the areas of laser fusion, magnetic fusion, and the cross-cutting theme of fuel cycles and materials development.

TRISO approval, HALEU pact advance US nuclear fuel
The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved Framatome's request to allow its nuclear fuel facility in Richland, Washington, to manufacture TRISO fuel, while Lightbridge and QNI have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a framework for collaboration on the long-term supply of HALEU fuel.

First port signs up to US initiative on maritime SMRs
The Port of Long Beach in California has become the first port in the USA to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration to advance work on development of small modular reactor technology to power commercial vessels, ports and other maritime assets.

TRISO fuel delivered for Kaleidos reactor experiment
