OPG ready to go with Darlington refurbishment
After six years of planning and preparations Ontario Power Generation (OPG) says it is "ready to execute" refurbishment of the Darlington nuclear power plant and remains within the CAD 12.8 billion ($9 billion) estimate for the project, which is to start next month.

Areva disappointed with Kiggavik decision
Areva Resources Canada said it is "very disappointed" with a decision by Canadian ministers not to approve the proposed Kiggavik uranium project. The project has been placed in in care and maintenance while the company considers its next steps.

Canadian government upholds Kiggavik recommendation
The Canadian government has agreed with a 2015 recommendation by the Nunavut Impact Review Board that the Kiggavik uranium project should not proceed at this time, but said proponent Areva Resources Canada may resubmit the project for consideration in the future.

US, Canadian supply chain organizations team up
US and Canadian nuclear supply chain organisations have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation. The US Nuclear Infrastructure Council and the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries will investigate projects in which their members can collaborate.
