An International Atomic Energy Agency vehicle was hit and damaged by a drone on the day of the latest rotation of the agency's team of experts at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

Iran said it would initiate the operation of a "substantial number" of uranium centrifuges after the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors passed a resolution on the country's nuclear programme.

The US Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration has signed bilateral agreements with Japan and South Korea to cooperate in optimising the nuclear non-proliferation features of their respective research reactor models aimed at export markets.

All remaining highly enriched uranium from the Japan Atomic Energy Agency's Japan Materials Testing Reactor Critical Assembly has now been returned to the USA. Japan and the USA have been cooperating for many years to repatriate HEU from Japanese research reactors to the USA.

Iraq's plans for small modular reactors and nuclear medicine, as well as its decommissioning progress, were among topics discussed during a visit by International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi.
