Russia has rejected the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA's) stance towards Crimea and, specifically, Sevastopol in a draft of the Vienna-based organization's 2014 Annual Report.

Russia's Petrozavodskmash has completed the manufacture of a serial batch of modified TUK-109T containers for the transport of used nuclear fuel from RBMK-1000 reactors. Petrozavodskmash is a branch of AEM Technologies, a subsidiary of Atomenergomash.

The company was formed in 2012 from the merger of Rosatom subsidiaries Nizhny Novgorod design institute and Atomstroyexport in order to consolidate Russia's nuclear power engineering expertise into a single division. Last year, it absorbed Atomenergoproekt.

Rosatom is to restructure its Rusatom Overseas subsidiary into a trio of new companies to develop, manage and promote Russian nuclear technology internationally.

Russia and Tunisia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The document was signed yesterday by Rosatom deputy director general and director for international business, Nikolai Spassky, and the ambassador of Tunisia to Russia, Ali Gutali.

Russia's Rosatom does not plan to increase its stake in the Hanhikivi nuclear power plant project in Finland, the state nuclear corporation's deputy director general, Kirill Komarov, said yesterday. Komarov was responding to questions during a press conference at the VII Atomexpo 2015 conference and exhibition in Moscow.

Russian power engineering company Atomenergomash is moving towards the complete supply of nuclear and turbine island equipment for its customers, the company's CEO, Andrey Nikipelov, said in an interview with industry journal Vestnik Atomproma published today.

OMZ subsidiary Izhorskiye Zavody has shipped the reactor pressure vessel for unit 4 of the Rostov nuclear power plant to the construction site. The reactor vessel, which is being transported via the River Neva, is expected to reach the site by 20 June.
