Australia agrees to supply uranium to Ukraine
Julie Bishop, the Australian foreign minister, yesterday signed an agreement with Ukrainian energy and coal industry minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn that clears the way for Australia to export uranium to Ukraine.

Chinese collaboration for accelerator-driven systems

Khan reaches settlement deal with Mongolia
The Mongolian government has agreed to pay Khan Resources $70 million to end a dispute over its 2009 cancellation of the Canadian mining company's uranium licences. Mongolia had been seeking to overturn a ruling by an international arbitration tribunal that it must pay $100 million in compensation.

Hungary signs cooperation accords with UAE
Hungary has signed agreements with the United Arab Emirates covering nuclear energy and other sectors, the country's foreign ministry announced on 2 March. The documents were signed during Hungarian minister of foreign affairs and trade Péter Szijjártó's two-day visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi this week.

Russia and Kazakhstan to ink nuclear power accord this year
Russia and Kazakhstan are preparing to sign an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in research and development in the nuclear energy sector, Rosatom said yesterday. Vyacheslav Pershukov, the Russian state nuclear corporation's head of design and innovation, led a delegation to Kazakhstan last week to discuss potential joint projects in the sector.

Westinghouse signs supply agreement with KHNP
A long-term supply agreement for replacement parts for nuclear power plants has been signed between Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power and Westinghouse. KHNP expects the agreement to shorten the procurement process for such equipment.
