Red Book looks to continued growth

Nichols Ranch ships first uranium

Impact of Mount Polley breach
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has issued a 'request for action' to licensees of uranium mines and mils with tailings facilities in response to tailings dam breach earlier this month at the Mount Polley open pit copper and gold mine in British Columbia.

Shootaring Canyon mill sold
Anfield Resources is to acquire the Shootaring Canyon uranium mill in Utah plus a portfolio of uranium assets from Uranium One in a deal worth $5 million. A previous agreement to sell the mill to Black Range Minerals for $10 million lapsed earlier this year.

Rožná uranium mine closing in 2017
The Rožná uranium mine in the Czech Republic will continue operations until mid-2017, Czech Republic minister of commerce and industry Jan Mladek said during a visit to the mine in Dolni Rozinka last week.

Rössing plans for desalination
