ZiO-Podolsk, part of the machine-building division of Rosatom - Atomenergomash, has manufactured and shipped the second RITM-200 reactor for the new generation icebreaker Yakutia, part of Project 22220.

The first of two reactors aboard Russia's new Ural icebreaker has been brought to criticality. It is part of a fleet that will enable Russia to open new sea routes and develop remote regions.

The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine says that an inspection mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency should not take place until the six-reactor nuclear power plant is no longer under Russian control.

Energoatom's CEO Petro Kotin says that construction work on two new Westinghouse AP1000 units at the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant "will begin as soon as the war is over".

International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi told a European Parliament hearing that it is a very "fragile situation" and "terribly complicated" but his aim to lead an inspection mission to Ukraine’s largest nuclear power plant, which is currently occupied by Russian forces, is not yet at a "dead end".

Rosatom’s unit in Finland says it has "no other choice but to defend ourselves and demand compensation" for the "unlawful termination" of the Hanhikivi I project, adding that it is ready to discuss "possible options for the project to recommence when conditions permit".

Hungary says that Russia’s Rosatom has given reassurances that "in terms of technology they are able to complete the project", with Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó looking forward to the construction entering its next phase.
