Microsoft to buy power from Helion fusion plant
Global technology company Microsoft has signed an agreement with fusion energy developer Helion Energy for the provision of electricity from its first fusion power plant. Constellation Energy will serve as the power marketer and will manage transmission for the project.

Tokamak Energy magnet technology to be tested in USA
Tokamak Energy of the UK is to send its gamma radiation cryostat system to the US Department of Energy's Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so that it can be exposed to extreme conditions to test lifetime fusion power plant performance.

NRC approves use of Framatome codes in advanced nuclear fuel development
Framatome received approval from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to apply the company's suite of Advanced Codes and Methods to operating conditions with uranium-235 enrichments above the industry standard of 5%.

Excavation of Chinese underground lab reaches milestone
Tunnelling at the Beishan Underground Research Laboratory near Jiuquan City in China's Gansu province has reached a depth of 280 metres, the depth of the first of two planned technology test platforms, China National Nuclear Corporation announced.
