Licence amendment for Darlington
The Canadian nuclear regulator has approved a one-year extension to the operating licence of the Darlington nuclear power plant. This will allow extra time for preparation of information by Ontario Power Generation in support of its application for a licence extension to 2028.

US debut for Westinghouse fuel pool monitor
The commissioning of a system enabling remote monitoring of the used fuel pool level at Watts Bar has marked the first use of the Westinghouse technology at a US nuclear power plant. The system has already been deployed at some European plants.
