Ningde 4 vessel delivered
The reactor pressure vessel for unit 4 of the Ningde plant has been delivered to the construction site in China's Fujian province. The reactor is due to start up next year.

Finance deal for new Paks units

Summer ownership decided
South Carolina Electricity and Gas (SCE&G) is to increase its ownership of two nuclear units under construction at VC Summer in South Carolina. Duke Energy has said that it is no longer looking to acquire a stake in the project.

Vessel installed at French EPR
Construction of France's first EPR unit at the Flamanville nuclear power plant passed another major milestone last week with the reactor pressure vessel being lowered into place.

Last module for first AP1000
The distinctive cylindrical water tank was lifted into place at the AP1000 under construction at Sanmen in China's Zhejiang province. The 312 tonne module is the last for the new reactor unit.

A nuclear cooperation agreement has been signed between Hungary and Russia, which includes the construction of two new units at Hungary's Paks nuclear power plant. Russia has said it will provide financing for the units.

Ceremony marks start of Indian project
The foundation stone of the Gorakhpur nuclear power plant in Haryana state has been laid by Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh. The first two units of the plant are both scheduled to begin operating by 2021.
