Norsk Kjernekraft has signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea's DL Energy and DL E&C to study the feasibility of constructing a nuclear power plant at the Mongstad oil refinery in Norway.

Norsk Kjernekraft has submitted a proposal to Norway's Ministry of Energy for an assessment of the construction of a power plant based on multiple small modular reactors in the municipality of Øygarden, west of Bergen.

A second municipality in southern Norway's Agder county, Lyngdal, has entered into a cooperation agreement with Norsk Kjernekraft regarding the investigation of a possible future nuclear power plant in the area.
